There is no doubting that Godfrey would be a sensational addition. Not least, because he is a quality player, but also because Leeds’ moves to sign a player this month is becoming increasingly difficult.
Indeed, Leeds have seen a bid rejected for Chris Mepham while Southampton are set to win the race for David Brooks – two Welshman, that might have ended up at Elland Road, will not. That has to change.
Leeds cannot go this entire window without signings. Godfrey would solve a lot of concern among fans, especially with Southampton and Ipswich busy. But, there is going to have to be compromise from us.
