Harry Redknapp said it would be foolish not to rule Leeds out of the race for automatic promotion, and now, Leeds sit in third – Southampton in second. Saints though, have played a game less, a point ahead.

Kieran McKenna makes Leeds United claim in promotion verdict

Their form is incredible and right now, are likely to be the favourites from Leeds, themselves and Ipswich to finish second. But anything can happen in the Championship. Leeds host the Saints on the final day.

There is likely to be plenty of twists and turns, but McKenna needs to pick his Ipswich players up off the deck if they are to compete for the top two. He described Leeds as “fantastic”, and in “incredible form”.
