Tottenham Hotspur fans will be looking forward to another big window this summer after what they’ve just seen in January.

Daniel Levy backed Ange Postecoglou in the winter window with big signings such as Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner, while youngster Lucas Bergvall was also snapped up ahead of Barcelona.

But, while incomings were welcomed, Tottenham perhaps didn’t move players on as they’d have wanted, as the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Bryan Gil remained at the club despite continued rumours.

However, according to Italian outlet Il Bianconero, Danish midfielder Hojbjerg could still be on his way, especially if Ange Postecoglou remains as manager.

Hojbjerg to leave Tottenham

According to the report, a farewell for Hojbjerg is seen as almost definite if Postecoglou remains in the hotseat. And as it stands, that seems likely.

There has been talk from some pundits of Liverpool making a move for Ange to replace Jurgen Klopp.

But those claims seem a touch far-fetched and there’s little chance of Tottenham even being open to considering such a move to happen.

Hojbjerg, then, could well find himself looking for a new club when the summer comes around.

He isn’t short of suitors, though. The likes of Juventus have admired him for some time, while Lyon also made a late move for the Dane in January.

Premier League clubs will be keen

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has stuck it out with Tottenham and deserves credit for remaining a top professional for Ange Postecoglou to call upon.

With that, it’s likely we’ll see Premier League clubs looking at him come the summer months.

Hojbjerg is a seasoned player at this level and he will not be short of options when and if Tottenham do decide to move him on.

Spurs paid around £20m for Hojbjerg and it has been money well spent in the main. If they can get that sort of fee back, then it will be happy days all around.
