Leeds United v Middlesbrough - Sky Bet ChampionshipThe three clubs and Leicester City have set a standard at the top of the Championship which has never been seen before, with all four sides highly likely to pass the 90-point mark. It is certainly race that is exciting the neutral.

Leeds currently occupy that all important second spot but could find themselves out of it this evening as both Southampton and Ipswich play their games in hand. The former are at home to Hull City, with the latter hosting Rotherham United.

Wins for both would see Southampton move into second on 70 points, while Ipswich would remain fourth, but level with Leeds on 69, with an inferior goal difference.Leeds United v Middlesbrough - Sky Bet Championship

Speaking to TWTD ahead of his side’s clash with Rotherham, Morsy says it is ‘tough’ competing with Leeds’ ‘£70 million front line’ and Southampton’s ‘Premier League strikers’, but knows Ipswich have their own strengths.

Morsy makes £70m claim on Leeds

He said: “They’re tough teams, no doubt about it, but so are we. We all have different qualities – people speak about Leeds having a £70 million frontline, Southampton’s Premier League strikers and stuff like that, but we know what we’ve got, very good players, an excellent manager and a really good team spirit.”

Obviously both Leeds and Southampton do have an advantage over Ipswich in that they have just come down from the Premier League, but names on a team sheet don’t always equal results.
