Man Utd & Chelsea get Benjamin Sesko transfer boost as shock release clause for RB Leipzig striker revealed | Goal.com USRB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko insists he wishes to stay at the Bundesliga club despite rumours linking him to Newcastle United.

Sesko had been firing in the goals for RB Salzburg before making the switch to Leipzig last summer. However, there were suggestions the Slovenian forward may be on his way out of the club quickly after his minutes were limited.

The 20-year-old has made 19 appearances for the German team but has only completed a full 90 minutes on three occasions. It was claimed Eddie Howe was readying a £43m offer to take Sesko off Leipzig’s hands but this bid was not submitted during the winter as Newcastle struggled with Financial Fair Play constraints.Man Utd & Chelsea get Benjamin Sesko transfer boost as shock release clause for RB Leipzig striker revealed | Goal.com US

The Magpies are not the only club to hold an interest in Sesko either. Arsenal and Manchester United were also thought to be interested and were expected to carry their interest into the summer transfer window.

However, in an interview with SportBILD, Sesko has shot down suggestions he wants a move to the Premier League or anywhere else for that matter. He explained: “I want to spend a lot of time here [at RB Leipzig] because the club suits me well. We’ll see how many years it will be in total.”
