Leeds United made the 16th most shirt sales in the year of 2023, bringing in £30million and more than several Premier League clubs.
The Whites may be out of the Premier League for this season and potentially beyond, but there’s no denying the draw of the club is bigger than most in the country.
Whether it’s attendance figures, the TV viewing figures, historical success, or just by how much they’re talked about, it’s hard to deny Leeds are a big club.
ESPN have revealed a list of the best clubs in the world when it comes to revenue built from kit sales, in which Barcelona top the lot with €179million brought in throughout 2023.
In intriguing inclusion in the top 20 are Leeds, who sit pretty in 16th across the globe, having registered a revenue of €35million (£35m) in the same timeframe.
Such a revenue is only bested by six clubs in England – Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester City.
Leeds sit above the likes of Inter Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt in the same list, while their inclusion means they also sell more than clubs such as Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Atletico Madrid, who don’t feature.
