Everton boss Sean DycheEverton are likely to arrange some form of a closed-doors friendly at Finch Farm between now and their next fixture.

That is according to former Goodison Park scout Bryan King, who made the prediction given how the Toffees now have a lengthy break from competitive football.

Due to the FA Cup and upcoming international break, Everton will not play until March 30 against Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Speaking to Goodison News, King said: “Recovery is always good for injuries, but I would imagine there would be a game arranged behind closed doors at Finch Farm. You could either split it up into four quarters, or different variations.”

Will Everton organise a friendly to keep themselves busy?

The man in the dugout may just be grateful that the Toffees now have a lengthy break from action, but at the same time he will be eager to get his players back on the pitch as soon as possible in their bid to climb the Premier League table.

But it is a long wait until their next competitive match, with Everton travelling to the south coast to take on the Cherries at the end of the month.

The time off will certainly help Dyche’s injured players in their recovery, as well as allowing the fit players to improve in various areas.
