Many Wolves fans are still gutted following Saturday’s FA Cup defeat to Coventry City, and Andy Thompson has shared what he thinks will be ‘the biggest disappointment’ for Gary O’Neil about the result.
Wolves fell to a 3-2 defeat at Molineux, having come so close to sealing a trip to Wembley.
In the end, Coventry came from behind, scoring two goals in injury-time, after Wolves had themselves come from 1-0 down to lead 2-1.
In truth, Coventry were deserved winners.
Wolves perhaps got slightly unlucky with the opening Coventry goal. But the Championship side had many chances on the day and had it not been for Jose Sa being on top form, then it could have been a thrashing.
But Wolves had the game in the palm of their hand, and Thompson was shocked at the late capitulation…

Former full-back Thompson was speaking on Matchday Live Extra after the game, and expressed his disappointment about Wolves letting their lead slip.
