West Ham ace Mohammed Kudus joked that Manchester United will have to “start paying taxes” if their players continue to copy his celebration.
Kudus has been an instant hit at London Stadium and already has a trademark celebration that sees him sit on the advertising hoardings.
The Ghana international used that exact celebration when scoring in West Ham’s 2-0 win over Man United at London Stadium in December.
However, by coincidence or otherwise, Alejandro Garnacho did the same celebration when his side exacted revenge in a 3-0 win in February.
Asked about that celebration, Kudus told The Guardian [29 March]: “They’re allowed to do it. But soon they will have to start paying taxes.”
Explaining the meaning behind his version of the celebration, Kudus said: “I just thought about something out of the box and then some other people followed it up.
“Now there’s a conversation about whose is better. I’ll have to come up with another juice and put more spices in the tin. It’s all about resting after scoring a goal.
