White Sox to Call Up Oscar Colas with Yoan Moncada InjuredThe Chicago White Sox are calling up outfielder Oscar Colas from Triple-A Charlotte, per multiple reports. The move comes on the heels of yet another injury to one of the Sox core pieces as Yoan Moncada went down during Tuesday’s game. With Eloy Jimenez, Luis Robert Jr., and now Moncada on the shelf for the foreseeable future, Colas will get a chance to prove himself worthy of big-league playing time.

Colas appeared in 75 games for the Sox during the 2023 season. After breaking camp with the team, the prospect once dubbed “The Cuban Ohtani” failed to perform up to expectations upon his arrival in Chicago. He was quickly sent back down to Triple-A Charlotte after posting a .211/.265/.276 slash line in April of last season. He returned to the Sox in July after two months in Triple-A but eventually finished the year with the Charlotte Knights after another demotion in mid-September.White Sox to Call Up Oscar Colas with Yoan Moncada Injured
