Everton: Dominic Calvert-Lewin exit mooted amid 'cloud hanging over him' at Goodison ParkMichael Brown has told Dominic Calvert-Lewin that he may need to leave Everton following his struggles so far this season.

Writing on the BBC Sport website on Thursday (11 April, 09:55am), the pundit said the England international still seems to have a “cloud hanging over him” regarding his previous injury problems.

He admitted that the 27-year-old may have some “pressure weighing on his shoulders” as he added that the forward perhaps needs some support despite recently ending his long goal drought.

“He had a wonderful left foot and it was one of his favourite sessions out on the training pitch so he will be working with them on their finishing. But sometimes you can just be not in a happy place.

“Calvert-Lewin has been at the club for such a long period of time and he might be carrying around a little stigma of the situation and have a bit of pressure weighing on his shoulders. Maybe it does need a bit of support for him or maybe he needs to go play his football somewhere else.”
