According to Turkish outlet Milliyet, the Super Lig side is looking to strengthen their attacking options for next season.
Paul Onuachu is currently on loan from Southampton, and has cemented himself as a key part of the first team squad.
However, uncertainty remains over his long-term future at the club, as no permanent deal has yet been agreed with the Saints.
This has led to Trabzonspor lining up alternative transfers for the Nigerian, just in case he ultimately returns to St. Mary’s at the end of the campaign.
Trabzonspor’s Kelechi Iheanacho interest
Iheanacho has been named as one of the players Trabzonspor will target if they are unable to secure a deal for Onuachu.
The forward is currently out of contract at Leicester, and will be a free agent in the summer unless a new deal is agreed soon.
The 27-year-old has played a part in the Foxes’ promotion push this year, but their difficult financial situation could end any hopes of a contract extension.
Other players such as Wout Weghorst, Bruno Petkovic and Borna Barisic have all also been mentioned as potential targets this summer.
