AS Roma - WikipediaEven though Spurs aren’t in Premier League action this weekend, their fans always seem to get hit with a sucker punch.

For large parts of the campaign, Ange Postecoglou has brought a lot of joy to the club following his summer arrival.

The former Celtic manager’s style of play, mannerisms and how he conducts himself in the media have made him a firm fan favourite.

But Tottenham still seem to shoot themselves in the foot. Go back to the 3-0 defeat to Fulham before the international break, and most recently, the 4-0 defeat to Newcastle that dents their top-four hopes. AS Roma - Wikipedia

And now, without even playing this weekend because their opponents are in FA Cup action, the worst possible news was delivered to the fans on Saturday evening.

Destiny Udogie, who has been one of the standout performers under Postecoglou this season, has shared on Instagram that he will miss the remainder of the campaign due to injury.

The 21-year-old, without going into any specific details, shared that he has had surgery and will now be on the sidelines.

When news broke, several players sent their well wishes to Udogie in the comments section of his IG post, including the likes of Pedro Porro, Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, Tammy Abraham and Pape Matar Sarr.
