Texas returns home and begins a three game series against the Cleveland Guardians, which will be followed by an off day on Thursday. Evan Carter, who has been dealing with lower back soreness, is not in the lineup today. Ezequiel Duran is in left field and Travis Jankowski is at DH, so I’m wondering if Jankowski is dealing with some issue, as well. Alternatively, it may be that Robbie Grossman will be hitting for Jankowski if and when a lefty takes the mound, and so the Rangers would rather Duran be in left field at that point than Grossman.
