Archie Gray will not look to leave Leeds United this summer despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund, according to TEAMtalk.
The 18-year-old looks set to remain at Elland Road moving into next season despite missing out on promotion through the Play-Offs.
The Englishman signed a new contract in January until 2028 and despite high-level interest is said to be “more than happy” at Elland Road.
Hayden Evans, Gray’s agent, fears that a move away could stunt his progress as a player and is “thrilled with his current trajectory” at Leeds.
The outlet have suggested (14 June) that if a “mammoth proposal” came in the Whites’ stance could change depending on their financial situation.
Archie Gray to stay at Leeds United
There were a whole host of top performers for Leeds last season and players who they will want to keep hold of ahead of next season.
Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter and Wilfried Gnonto are the biggest names who are likely to have plenty of suitors.
With that being said, if fans had the option of keeping those players or Gray, there would certainly be a discussion to be had.
At 18, he is already one of the Whites’ best players and is only going to get better moving forward which is an exciting prospect.
As a Leeds fan as well, it is an even sweeter story and as a result, he is loved like one of their own by the Elland Road faithful.
If there are financial worries this summer then he could certainly help to solve those issues given the fee that the club could demand.
Now fans can breathe a sigh of relief given that he wants to stay at Elland Road beyond this season.
