The Italian news outlet reported online (17 June) that the Hammers, Everton, Aston Villa and Tottenham are all interested in the striker.

Roma are hopeful that an auction will begin for Abraham.

The Serie A side have reportedly set a price of £25.3million for Abraham according to the Corriere report, though the Daily Mail had previously said it could be £20million for the Englishman (14 June).

Will West Ham United sign Tammy Abraham from Roma?

The number nine position at West Ham has been something of a curse in recent years.

Several big-money strikers have come and gone in East London without managing to make much of an impact.

The most recent of those was Gianluca Scamacca who arrived from Serie A but failed to impress in the Premier League.

As a result, the Hammers will have bad memories of shopping in Italy but, with Abraham, they at least know what he can do in England.

While he wasn’t the most prolific Premier League frontman, he is still only 26 years old and could definitely still be a valuable asset in England’s top flight.

For a little over £25milliion, it could be worth the Hammers taking a gamble on the striker.

Whatever happens with Abraham, Julen Lopetegui will be keen to bring a new striker to the club this summer.
