Staff at a popular Nottingham pub have apologised if anyone was offended by an “unsavoury incident” at the venue days after Steve Cooper was confirmed as Leicester City’s new boss. Cooper’s appointment was confirmed on a three-year contract with the Foxes on Thursday (June 20).
During Cooper’s stint on Trentside, he led the Reds back to the Premier League for the first time in 23 years. He proved a hugely popular figure, owing to his bond with the fans and understanding of the city, and he kept the Reds in the top flight during their first year back in the division.
But news of his appointment at the King Power Stadium has led to an “incident” at The Trent Navigation pub on Meadow Lane. The pub, home to the Big Shed fanzone, posted a statement on Saturday (June 22) saying: “We are aware of the video circulating online that appears to show an unsavoury incident last night, but we thought it was important to take control of the narrative and show the footage in full so you can make up your own minds on the matter.
