All of the latest Premier League transfer news, including Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and West Ham

We begin Tuesday’s Premier League transfer rumour roundup with an update on the future of former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham. The Englishman is widely expected to leave current club AS Roma this summer as they seek to free up space on their wage bill.

And according to Il Romanista, Aston Villa are already in ‘pole position’ to sign the 26-year-old. Abraham is said to be keen on a return to the Premier League, and is on the radar of several clubs, including Leicester City. Roma are expected to demand around £25 million for their asset, who is under contract until 2026.

The 3AM Verdict: Abraham is a quality striker, and one who Villa know well from his previous loan stint at the club. The prospect of him returning to Villa Park is an enticing one, although it should be pointed out that he has also been heavily linked with AC Milan in recent days. Certainly a transfer tussle with plenty of gas left in the tank.
