Hull City midfielder Ozan Tufan has passed a medical ahead of his proposed move to Trabzonspor, Turkish reporter Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has said.
Hull City signed Tufan in the summer of 2022, bringing him in from Fenerbahce.
The 29-year-old has had a turbulent two years with the Tigers but he has been among their standout players in the Championship. He notched 10 goals and two assists in 40 games last season to take his total for the club to 18 goals and two assists in 84 outings.
Rumours have circulated over a move back to Turkey with Trabzonspor and now, it seems the switch has taken a big step towards being wrapped up.
Writing on X, reporter Yagiz Saubcuoglu states that the Hull City midfielder has completed his medical in Istanbul ahead of a move to the Super Lig giants. An image of Tufan is attached in addition.
A blow for the Tigers
Tufan has become one of the most influential players at Hull City in his two years with the club, so it will be a blow to see him go.
However, with a year left on his contract, sanctioning a move now makes for smart business. The funds received from the deal – although not that much – can go towards finding a replacement or funding other business in different areas of the squad.
