Shrewsbury Town are eyeing up a move for Accrington Stanley goalkeeper Toby Savin on a free transfer, as per the Shropshire Star.
Shrewsbury Town look set to have a tough season ahead of them.
The club finished 19th in League One last time around, avoiding relegation by a mere four points.
They ended the season with a winless run of seven games and had the season gone on for a few more weeks, they could have easily fell into the drop zone.
This summer provides the chance for them to reset and rebuild and one man they are currently looking at is Savin.
Savin, 23, currently plays for Accrington Stanley in League Two.
His contract is set to expire at the end of this month and he will be available on a free transfer once it does so.
He only played nine League Two games for Accrington Stanley last season. Savin started the first nine games but a shoulder injury then ruled him out for most of the season.
He featured 18 times in League One the year before and with game time looking hard to come by it seems the right time to leave.
Shrewsbury Town are reportedly eyeing a move for Savin this summer. The Salop are said to be looking at a couple of goalkeepers to add to their ranks, with Savin one of those.
