A general view of Stadium of Light ahead of the Sky Bet Championship match between Sunderland and Leicester City at Stadium of Light on March 5, 20...Sunderland revealed their brand new Hummel home kit for the 2024/25 season this morning.

Sunderland fans were delighted when the club reunited with former kit supplier Hummel, before leaks of the new shirt were shared in recent months.

Supporters have been left ecstatic by the new threads ahead of tomorrow’s sale, while even Jobe Bellingham had previously hailed it as ‘amazing’.

The kit is set to go on sale at 8am on Friday morning – available at £60 for adults in both short and long sleeves, as well as in women’s sizes. Hummel have also launched a 2024/25 home anthem jacket and green goalkeeper kit.

Sunderland kits to be available without the sponsor

Spreadex remains the shirt sponsor after first partnering with the Black Cats in 2022.

The club had previously come under some criticism for partnering with a trading and sports betting firm, while many others thought it was a bit of an eyesore on the kits.

Spreadex and Sunderland have both now agreed to sell some shirts without the sponsor, allowing for a much cleaner look.

The statement via the official website read: “Spreadex proudly continue as our front-of-shirt partner and after listening to supporter feedback, have committed to providing a number of adult shirts without their brand for those who wish to wear an unbranded kit.”

It is another little thing that makes a huge difference to the kit launch, which has so far gone down a real treat on Wearside.

Commentator Nick Barnes has heaped praise on the club for their actions, writing on X: “Music to my ears! I am sure that will go down very well with a lot of fans.”
