The 2024/25 Sunderland home shirt went on sale on Friday, in the club’s brand new store.
Sunderland have partnered with hummel for their 2024/25 kits, and fans are delighted with the outcome of the brand new home shirt.
The 2024/25 Sunderland home shirt features several details relating to the city’s history and heritage, with the jersey selling out online within two hours of being on sale.
Sunderland owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus was in attendance as the club shop opened for sales of the new home shirt.
Sporting director Kristjaan Speakman was also in attendance, along with new manager Regis Le Bris who was filmed mingling with Sunderland fans.
It comes after a tough last few months at the Stadium of Light following their poor finish to the 2023/24 season and their prolonged search to find a new manger.
Now, Louis-Dreyfus has given his verdict on sales of the 2024/25 home shirt.
Kyril Louis-Dreyfus reacts to Sunderland 2024/25 home shirt sales
Speaking to the club whilst at the club store on Friday, Louis-Dreyfus revealed how impressed he was with Sunderland fans who got to the stadium early to secure their new home shirt.
He said: “It’s mind-blowing to see people queuing up here since two in the morning, to come and get the new home shirt.
“It’s probably why now I’m glad we put in so much effort for the last six months to make sure that this place is ready, the new shop with the new kit, because we can see what it means to people.”
