West Ham have shown interest in signing Ajax flop and Georgia sensation Georges Mikautadze this summer.
Mikautadze continues to enjoy a rich vein of form as he has helped minnows Georgia reach the round of 16 stage of Euro 2024. After scoring 14 Ligue 1 goals for Metz last season, the striker now has three goals and an assist to his name in the European Championship and is currently leading the Golden Boot race.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Now Le10Sport reports that Premier League side West Ham United have placed an offer with Metz to sign their star forward in the ongoing summer transfer window. The Hammers’s offer is reportedly much higher than the French club’s demand of €20m (£16m/$21m). The English club, however, will face competition from RC Lens and AS Monaco who are also keen on the 23-year-old.
