Leeds United are edging towards a move for Coventry City attacker Callum O’Hare to replace key attacking players destined for the exit door, says Paul Robinson.

Former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson, speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, is well connected at Elland Road and believes Daniel Farke and the hierarchy will have an increasingly good idea of who will replace the departing star this summer.

Football Insider reported [8 June] that forwards Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto are among those most likely to leave following the club’s failure to earn an immediate return to the Premier League.

O’Hare is available as a free agent this summer with his contract at Coventry set to expire this weekend, enabling the Whites to pick up a player for nothing who clawed back from injury to rack up nine goal contributions in just 18 starts last season.

Alan Hutton exclusively told Football Insider [19 June] that former Aston Villa teammate O’Hare, 26, who’s a friend of his, is being targeted by Leeds to directly replace Summerville, for whom the club are seeking £30m.

Leeds United hope to strike O’Hare deal

Leeds United will be hoping to land O’Hare as a free agent this summer as the former England youth international’s career at Coventry comes to an end after four years, and ex-Whites stopper Robinson says Leeds are looking at players who will not command large fees.
