Leicester City’s move for Matias Soule looks to be reliant on Juventus holding firm in their unwillingness to strengthen a Serie A rival.
City are said to be keen on the Argentinian attacker and have reportedly had a bid of €25m (£21m) plus bonuses turned down. Juventus remain willing to negotiate though, with the price-tag set at €30m.
Roma are the other club in the race for Soule and the latest reports from Italy say the 21-year-old has his heart set on the capital club. Corriere dello Sport say Soule has informed his agent, some of his Juventus team-mates, and Roma’s Argentinian star Paulo Dybala, formerly of Juventus, that he wants to go to the Eternal City.
Dybala and countryman Leandro Paredes have been working to convince Soule to move to Roma throughout the past season and it seems their charms have worked. But the 21-year-old relies on the two clubs coming to an agreement, and that’s not simple.
