Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez aims to be productive in his new home – Orange County RegisterLOS ANGELES — Teoscar Hernández had three different run-scoring hits, building on the momentum of a strong major league debut by River Ryan, as the Dodgers beat the Giants 3-2 on Monday night at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers have won four straight games, with three of those wins coming in their final at-bat.

The final Hernández blow came Monday with two outs in the eighth inning, his single up the middle scoring Kiké Hernández, whose gift double landed in between Heliot Ramos and Luis Matos in left center to open the frame.

Teoscar Hernández drove in all three Dodgers runs in this one, including a solo home run in the fourth inning and RBI single in the sixth. Since winning the Home Run Derby a week ago is 7-for-18 (.389) with two home runs and a double in four games.

Meeting the moment

Ryan missed the first two months of the season with shoulder soreness but has been building back up in the minors for the past six-plus weeks. Though Ryan only topped out at five innings in Triple-A this year — matching his professional career high, also done seven times with Double-A Tulsa in 2023 and twice in Low-A Rancho Cucamonga in 2022 — manager Dave Roberts said before the game he was comfortable with the right-hander pitching deeper into the game.Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez aims to be productive in his new home – Orange County Register

“He’s built up fine, obviously, to pitch in a major league game,” Roberts said. “I’m excited to see what he’s got. But first and foremost we feel he’s healthy and can handle it, as far as the maturity.”
