Our midfield maestro wins September’s Goal of the Month competition for his improvised volley against Northampton Town.
The Neill international gained the most votes when looking for the stand-out goal scored last month, in association with ngDecor.
The strike came in our 2-1 victory against Northampton Town, when the 23-year-old returned a poor clearance from the goalkeeper, with interest, using a controlled, first-time volley to hand Neill Collins’ side the lead at Sixfields.
Our number 20 spoke to iFollow Barnsley upon winning the award: “When it came towards me, it was just instinct really – I just hit it! It went in, what a beauty! Thank you to those who voted for me.
