Dan Meis, the architect who designed the new Everton stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, has visited the site again to reflect on the progress made. The Blues are set to move to their new home next summer, with this campaign the final one at Goodison Park.
Meis is now the stadium design concept guardian and has been brought back into the fold at Everton after producing the initial sketches for the 52,888-capacity facility.
He has been sharing images of his time in Liverpool this week and posted an update on Instagram including a number of photos from inside and outside the stadium.
“Started with a napkin sketch over 7 years ago but won’t be long now…” read the caption on the carousel of photos.
The pictures show a number of different angles of the stadium interior and exterior. There is also a photo that illustrates the Everton crest installed on the ceiling of the home dressing room. The Blues shared the crest from a different angle on the new stadium X account.
This week more updates have been shared from the site, as final flourishes are added to the facility ahead of the big move.
Workers have been making final checks to each of the 52,888 seats in place, with a relevant number added to each. Another video showed a gravel layer being added to what will be the playing surface at the venue, as the process of building the pitch also continues on apace.
