Leeds United have one of the smallest squads in the Championship this season and that could well come to light at Cardiff City.
For the first time this season, Daniel Farke has a number of injury doubts heading into the fixture and should worse comes to worst, they could be without four players from last weekend’s squad.
Farke mentioned Joe Rodon, Joe Rothwell, Manor Solomon and Junior Firpo have all been carrying issues over the course of the week.
Solomon was regarded as the biggest doubt by Farke due to a back injury, which could open the door for Largie Ramazani to be handed a full Leeds debut.
Having said that, Rothwell, Solomon and Firpo were all spotted in Leeds‘ latest inside training video, which does offer hope they will be in contention.
Graham Smyth makes Roland Sallai claim after Leeds injury update
It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Solomon is carrying an injury considering he has started four matches in just two weeks after almost a full year without competitive football.
With Dan James also on the sidelines, Solomon missing out would leave Leeds desperately short of options on the bench for the clash in the Welsh capital.
Ramazani, Wilfried Gnonto and Brenden Aaronson would still be a very strong trio behind the striker, but if Leeds are in need of some impetus off the bench, there isn’t anyone who could come on and make an impact.
