West Brom boss Carlos Corberan has said Jayson Molumby is a ‘doubt’ for this weekend.
West Brom are back in Championship action with a home clash against Plymouth Argyle as they look to keep their impressive start to the season going.
Molumby, 25, may have to sit out though and the Baggies will assess him over the next 24 hours or so.
In this latest update regarding his calf issue, Corberan has said, as per a report by BirminghamLive: “Molumby still didn’t recover well from the calf perspective, he was playing with some problem during the Portsmouth game. During training he couldn’t make a normal week, so let’s say he’s a doubt, we have to see how he reacts in the last days to see if he can be involved or he can’t.
“It’s good to always have one week in front of you without games in between, which helps you to develop players, especially as we know we added some players late in the market, so it is always good to have the possibility to work with the players. We had one day less but we have tried to use the week in the best way. I think we’ve had a positive training week.”
Molomby has been a regular for West Brom so far in this campaign so it would be a blow if he wasn’t able to play against Plymouth Argyle.
They won’t want to take any risks with him though and will only select him if he is fully fit.
