The journalist reported on 29 September that the American is on the lookout for a new club after Dan Friedkin “shattered” his plans at Goodison Park.

The American businessman is keeping an eye out for fresh opportunities and is still looking to find a way out of his shares at Selhurst Park.

This season is starting to look up for the Toffees with the news that the Friedkin Group had reached an agreement on the sale of Farhad Moshiri’s 94.1 per cent stake in the club [Evertonfc.com, 23 September].

When this is paired with Sean Dyche’s side securing their first win of the campaign against Crystal Palace.

A Dwight McNeil double was enough to take three points at Goodison Park despite going 1-0 down with just 10 minutes gone on Saturday 28 September.

With all that being said, it had looked as if Textor was going to take over but had been waiting to sell his shares in the Eagles.
