Team captain Darius Slay has enjoyed a great career so far. Trust us. We were already well aware, but he made sure to send a now-deleted tweet to remind us. When he looks back on a career that seemingly will exceed a dozen years long, the week following a Philadelphia Eagles loss in Tampa will be one he’ll want to forget.
The aforementioned tweet followed some flack he received for an off-game. He gave up a TD pass during the contest, but the final score is what we’ll most remember from a wasted Sunday afternoon.
Well… We’ll remember the final score, the tweet, and his appearance on Micah Parsons podcast. As you might imagine, Birds fans, former Eagles, and media members saw it as a bad look.

Some might call this an overblown discussion. You won’t have any issues finding co-signers and disagreement. There’s the Eagles vs. Cowboys rivalry angle playing into this among other things.
Philly just lost a tough game for Heaven’s sake. Then, there was the back and forth between Parsons and C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Yeah… Showing up on MIcah’s pod might be seen as a little ill-timed. Slay has since apologized, but it doesn’t seem like it matters much.
