Sean Dyche, the manager of Everton, has revealed how close his team came to acquiring Wilfried Gnonto from Leeds United.
The Italian’s intentions to leave Yorkshire this summer were well known. Even though he was unwilling to play for the team, he eventually had to practice apart from the first team for a while.

For Dyche, this is not an unfamiliar position. He frequently ran out of money while he was at Burnley. He must be giving his previous club the side-eye while observing its current situation and spending.
