Leicester City already have a 14-point cushion inside the Championship’s top two and on Saturday they will try to match a club record with a ninth straight league victory. Can anybody stop them?

While promotion remains a topic that Enzo Maresca would rather not discuss, privately he must feel that City are in an excellent position. Even if they only won half of their remaining 33 fixtures and lost the rest, they would still surpass the average needed to finish in the top two.James Maddison stars as stylish Leicester thrash Tottenham - Premier League result and final score | The Independent

Their next test is at QPR, who are struggling down towards the bottom. They have just eight points from their 13 fixtures and have lost their last five in a row. It would be a real upset if this was the match where City’s winning streak ended.

City’s best 11 also looks to be establishing itself with the best options for each position now emerging three months into the season. There’s a few battles, particularly up front between Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho, but otherwise the team is beginning to pick itself.James Maddison stars as stylish Leicester thrash Tottenham - Premier League result and final score | The Independent

Two of those players who are likely to be in every line-up are Harry Winks and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but both are on a tightrope at the moment, having picked up four yellow cards. They are just one more booking from a suspension, and City won’t want them to miss next week’s game against Leeds.
