Everton is about to sign a super star overnight, therefore West Ham United is in a race against time to sign him.
West Ham United face a race against time to sign Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy in January after he was offered a new deal, report 90min.
Writing on their official website (26 October), the news outlet report that the in-form striker has attracted the attention of several clubs across Europe including West Ham after scoring 15 goals in nine games.
It emerged that the forward has a €17.5m (£15.2m) release clause in his contract, but the Bundesliga club have moved quickly to scupper any attempts by anyone to sign him at that price by offering him fresh terms.
“That form has notably drawn attention from a number of Premier League clubs in recent weeks, with 90min already reporting that West Ham, Fulham, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth have all sent scouts to watch the Guinea international,” they wrote.
“90min also understands that Everton and Burnley have been keeping an eye on Guirassy’s form and are keen suitors as well.
“Stuttgart have offered their prolific goalscorer a new contract at the MHPArena, however as things stand it is looking increasingly likely that Guirassy will test the market in the new year.
Move quickly
If there is one thing that we learned in the summer transfer window it’s that Tim Steidten knows how to get a transfer deal done that works for everyone and with minimal fuss.
That would come in super handy here for a move for Guirassy, whose form has seen him become the top marksman on the continent this season ahead of the likes of Erlin Haaland, Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe.
West Ham have a clear gap for a striker in their squad after losing Gianluca Scamacca in the summer, and with Michail Antonio and Danny Ings’ future at the club up in the air this could be an ideal solution.
He would be cheap as chips considering his form and age at just 27, and his style of play would seemingly fit the way that David Moyes likes to play too.
There is plenty of competition but there aren’t many clubs bigger than West Ham who can offer what we can offer with a starting spot too, so it’s our transfer to miss out on if he ends up moving elsewhere for such a lowly fee.
