Neil Warnock will replace Gareth Ainsworth as Queens Park Rangers manager until the end of the season, according to reports.
Ainsworth was sacked by the Championship club after their winless run extended to nine games on Saturday (October 28). A 2-1 defeat at home to Leicester City left them languishing 23rd in the table.
The Telegraph claim Warnock is expected to take the reins for his third spell in charge in West London. The 74-year-old insisted he wasn’t retiring when he left Huddersfield Town last month.

He wants the job, as does former Southampton boss Nathan Jones. But it is Warnock who is likely to be appointed until the end of the season and tasked with pulling off another rescue job like the one he did at Huddersfield last season.
He led QPR to the Premier League in the 2010/11 season but was sacked the following January with the side 17th in the top flight. He returned as first team advisor in 2015 before being appointed caretaker boss following the departure of Chris Ramsey.
