Bidding for Celtic star Matt O’Riley should now start at £40million according to his Bhoys team-mate Alistair Johnston. Leeds United had a number of bids for the Danish youth international turned down in the summer, with the former MK Dons playmaker now a key part of Brendan Rodgers side.

Former Rangers forward Kris Boyd believes the Whites target will be the next big money move away from Celtic after shining so far this season. “(O’Riley may be) one of the next ones to go,” Ibrox legend Kris Boyd told Sky Sports.

Former Leeds United boss Garry Monk has been linked with a return to management with League One side Bristol Rovers. The ex-Whites boss, who was also linked with Sampdoria last month, has been made the bookmakers’ favourite to take over a the Gas.

The League One side sacked former Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton on Thursday and Monk is the 2/1 favourite to take over at the time of writing. Monk has not managed since 2020 when he left Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
