Longshaw Infant School

From the classroom to the locker room! Classical future blackburn is all grins….

We were delighted to welcome children from Longshaw Infant School to Ewood Park, for a Stadium Tour with a difference!

Over 80 pupils from the local school visited the stadium to tie in with their Autumn term topic ‘Where we live’.

The children had been learning about Blackburn in the past and comparing with life in the present day. They had also been learning about maps and key local landmarks, with the walk to Ewood Park a perfect opportunity for the children to apply the skills they had learned in the classroom. The excited youngsters were given an insightful 60-minute tour of the stadium – taking in some of the many fascinating and unique features such as the Boardroom, changing rooms, trophy cabinets, Media Theatre and dugout. The tour ended in our Strikers’ Lounge, where they took part in a 30-minute Q&A.Longshaw Infant School

So whether you’re a diehard Rovers fan or would simply like to visit the stadium for educational purposes, we can cater our Stadium Tours to suit your requirements, with special rates available for group bookings.

Come and visit Jack Walker’s long-lasting legacy to the people of Blackburn to take a look at what goes on behind the scenes at Ewood Park – a stadium celebrating almost 150 years of football – and leave with memories that will last a lifetime.
