David Moyes has come to the defence of Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, and believes that he can improve the team’s performance as long as he continues to receive support from the club’s board.
Ten Hag’s Manchester United has faced difficulties in the opening ten Premier League games, with several key injuries contributing to the team’s challenges.
Moyes, who previously managed Manchester United, acknowledged that Ten Hag has displayed positive qualities and stated that support from the board is crucial.
The Hammers boss agreed with Wayne Rooney‘s observation that the pressure and criticism tend to be directed at managers rather than players, emphasising that it is a common aspect of the managerial role.
‘It’s always been directed at managers. That’s why most of the time you talk about managers losing their jobs, not players losing their jobs. It’s part of the job.
