Update: The Philadelphia Eagles’ surprise presence on the roster for their Week 13 home game against the San Francisco 49ers raises serious issues.
Philadelphia might be getting their star tight end back sooner than expected.
Dallas Goedert is pushing to play in the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 13 home game against the San Francisco 49ers, according to a report.
It looks like #eagles TE Dallas Goedert (forearm) will push to play this weekend vs the #49ers. We’ll see if that’s possible as the week goes. It does seem very realistic for him to be on the field in two weeks vs the #cowboys I’m told.

Goedert originally suffered a forearm fracture during the Eagles’ Week 9 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The injury necessitated a surgical operation that’s caused him to miss two games thus far.
It was originally thought that Goedert might go on injured reserve. The Eagles notably did NOT put him on IR ahead of their Week 11 game, however, which signaled that they realistically hoped to have him back for a Week 14 road game against the Dallas Cowboys at the latest.
As Palmer noted, we’ll have to see if Goedert is able to participate in practice this week. The Eagles’ first injury report for the 49ers game will be issued on Wednesday after a walkthrough. His first opportunity to actually practice will come on Thursday afternoon.
Getting Goedert back for a tough 49ers game would be a nice boost for an offense that’s clearly missed him at times. Even if he’s not able to suit up against San Fran, it’s encouraging to hear he’s tracking to
