The feeling about Philadelphia sports in 2023 has become much different than what it was a year ago.
In 2022, the Philadelphia Phillies made an improbable run to the World Series and came up just short of winning their first since 2008. The Philadelphia Eagles also made the Super Bowl and came up just short in their own quest to win a championship.
Still, there was a feeling of hope and optimism for the future.
After all, both the Phillies and Eagles have loaded rosters full of talent.
That feeling is no longer prevalent anymore following what has taken place for both Philadelphia teams in 2023.
The Phillies blew a major lead in the National League Championship Series and the Eagles do not look like the same team they did last year or during the early parts of this season.
This was culminated by the Eagles losing to the Arizona Cardinals on Dec. 31 that brings the level of frustration to an all-time high this season for that team.
And while it was Philadelphia’s football team who took the loss to another Arizona team, that didn’t stop the Phillies from getting trolled on social media once again.
