According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Chicago White Sox are hiring Jin Wong as an Assistant General Manager.

Per Nightengale:

The White Sox are shuffling their front-office staff and are bringing in Jin Wong from the Kansas City Royals to be an assistant GM. White Sox assistant GM Jeremy Haber is expected to depart on his own before spring training, with Jin fulfilling part of his duties.

Wong previously served as the Vice President of Baseball Operations with the Kansas City Royals, an organization he worked with for 24 years.

He left his post in October. The following comes from an MLB.com story at that time:

Wong has been with Kansas City for 24 years and just finished his second season as the vice president of baseball administration. Over his tenure, he’s mainly dealt with the club’s financial obligations, including negotiating contracts, roster and payroll management, salary arbitration and the club’s budget, along with day-to-day operations of the Major League club.
