Dan QuinnGreen Bay PackersDallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn at this time of year is always being mentioned in head coach talks and it is no different this time around before the Green Bay Packers playoff matchup. Quinn has been with Dallas for the past few seasons and has enjoyed his time with the Cowboys.

They will try to slow down a hot Jordan Love and Packers offense on Sunday to advance in the playoffs. Quinn talked about the possibility of when leaving Dallas would be right for him. He told Mike Fisher of Sports Illustrated by saying:

“If and when that time gets called. I would certainly be ready to discuss that at a moment’s notice.”

There are currently five head coach openings in the NFL and they are the Washington Commanders, Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders, Carolina Panthers, and Los Angeles Chargers. More can very well open up between now and the end of the playoffs, but it remains to be seen what teams like the Tennessee Titans and the New England Patriots would do.

Quinn also added by telling Fisher:Dan QuinnGreen Bay Packers

“Quite honestly, the guys that I’m able to coach are a big reason why I wanted to be back here. I didn’t want to see anybody else coaching these guys, and there was unfinished business in my mind. … I’m not gonna let that moment miss one second.”

Green Bay’s offense has been very good over the last several weeks. There isn’t one way to specifically slow it down. The first thing Dan Quinn might do is try and overload the offensive line because the Packers’ offensive line could still be shaky at times.

The only way to rattle Jordan Love is to make him uncomfortable. Micah Parsons and Demarcus Lawrence are game wreckers on the Cowboys’ defense. Green Bay can run the ball effectively with Aaron Jones. Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Romeo Doubs, and Tucker Kraft have been a factor in the passing game as of late for the Packers.

Dallas has yet to lose a home game this season. It will be a tough offense for them to stop but Quinn is good at his craft and will worry about getting a head coaching job when the time is right for him again. This is third year as defensive coordinator with the Dallas Cowboys and was a head coach once before with the Atlanta Falcons.
