A new report claims that both the San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays are likely landing spots for the top power hitter left in MLB free agency.
The San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays entered the offseason in very different but similar positions. While Toronto had a productive season and nearly won 90 games, they could not overcome the powers in the American League East, the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays. The sub-.500 Giants had similar twin mountains in the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2023 National League West.

That is why both teams needed to be active this offseason not only to improve their rosters from last year but be able to compete with the highly competitive teams in their division. However, neither organization has made a notable move on the free agent of trade markets so far. But that could soon change based on a new report from MLB Network league insider Jon Morosi.
