ARTHUR OKONKWO gained vital experience in League Two with Crewe Alexandra but even the Wrexham loanee didn’t expect his next port of call to end with a major trophy in the cabinet.
Okonkwo, a 6’6” goalkeeper, has arrived on a season-long loan from Premier League giants Arsenal and made his Reds’ debut in the 1-0 win against Newcastle United under 21s in the opening EFL Trophy group stage game earlier this month.
Although he played two games for the Gunners in the competition, Okonkwo needed to go out on loan to further his development and spent the first half of last season with Crewe, who visit The STóK Cae Ras in League Two on Saturday.
