Liam Hicks is one of ten Texas Rangers prospects invited to 2024 Spring Training. The former Arkansas State catcher will report on February 14th.
Hicks is on the radar of the reigning World Series champions after a stellar 2023. He competed in High-A (Hickory) and Double-A (Frisco). In 92 combined games, the Canadian hit .275 with 4 home runs and 45 RBI. He recorded 82 hits and 7 steals.
Hicks followed that up with a breakout campaign in the desert. He led the Arizona Fall League with a .449 batting average, he was 3rd with 31 hits and a 1.075 OPS.
