Some are on loan in the capital, while others can leave when their contracts end.

According to the report, Kristensen, Renato Sanches and Dean Huijsen will return to their clubs—Leeds United, PSG, and Juventus—at the end of their loan spells in June, while goalkeepers Rui Patricio and Pietro Boer will not be offered new deals.

However, there are more players with an uncertain future in the capital. Romelu Lukaku’s stay is highly unlikely given that Roma would need to pay €43m to make his move from Chelsea permanent plus, at least, an annual gross salary of €13.8m. The Giallorossi, like any other Serie A club, can no longer rely on the growth decree.

Roma are considering the future of other players currently on loan: Azmoun (Bayer Leverkusen), Angeliño (RB Leipzig) and Diego Llorente (Leeds United).

On the other hand, Leonardo Spinazzola’s contract expires in June and even if his agent, Davide Lippi, said in January that his client would not extend his contract beyond June, Daniele De Rossi has been giving the Italian left-back regular playing time, so he may ask the club to offer Spinazzola a new deal.

According to Gazzetta, if all players leave in June, the Giallorossi will save over €50m in gross wages, precisely 51.2m in 2024-25.
