Coventry City

Mark Robins has stuck with an unchanged Coventry City side to face Blackburn Rovers at the CBS Arena. The Sky Blues are looking to secure their first back-to-back wins of the 2023/24 campaign, building on Saturday’s impressive 3-1 victory at Queens Park Rangers.

Robins’ selection means that Ben Wilson continues in goal ahead of understudy Brad Collins, deployed behind a back three of Bobby Thomas, Kyle McFadzean and Luis Binks. Liam Kitching is again among the subs as he continues to wait for his first start since joining the club on transfer deadline day.

Joel Latibeaudiere starts his second game running out of position at right wing-back in place of the injured Milan van Ewijk and ahead of Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, while Jay Dasilva continues in the left-hand berth. Josh Eccles and Liam Kelly are once again deployed in the centre of midfield as Ben Sheaf continues his rehabilitation from an adductor injury.

Jamie Allen starts his second game in quick succession in the more advanced role behind the strikers, preferred to Yasin Ayari who provides attacking back-up from the bench and in place of the injured Kasey Palmer. That leaves Matty Godden to partner Ellis Simms up front, with the latter hoping to build on his excellent brace at Loftus Road.
