In the post match talk from Steve Cooper he put light on the fact that he knows Stephy Mavididi from the time he worked with him in the England youth set up. Mavididi is capped at U.16, U.17, U.18, U.19 and U.20 level for England, in some of these games under the command of Steve Cooper.

Mavididi also spoke after the game, giving us all a clue that coming to terms with Steve Cooper and his ideas, might be different from Enzo Maresca, as they are very different types of personality and showing different approach towards media and of course having a very different challenge to take on.

Steve Cooper have a past with other players as well, knowing Luke Thomas and Danny Ward from past occasions. Today all three of them started in the game, not to say it was because of that, but he will definately have a different view on them. Danny Ward played at Liverpool when Steve Cooper also were at the club, they are both Welsh and Cooper have possibly seen every game his nation has played, with Ward being in goal 41 times so far, played in the World Cup and in the Euro, seen as a good goalkeeper, respecting that in a total.

Luke Thomas made his England U.18 debut in 2018, and has since represented his nation at U.19, U.20 and U.21 level, of course being known for Steve Cooper also at an earlier age, keeping tabs on the youngster while in charge of those England youth teams. Cooper was in charge of England youth teams from 2014 to 2019 and possilby had Thomas in duty on a number of occasions.

We all know how Leicester fans cherish Stephy Mavididi as he has been a success since joining Leicester, but having a problematic relation to Danny Ward and Luke Thomas, but we just have to wait and see how this will progress
