Leeds United winger Willy Gnonto has been a key target for Everton in recent weeks with the Toffees looking to strike an agreement after pursuing the Italian last season.

The Whites’ preparations for the Championship promotion race this summer are going to be far less interrupted than they had been a year ago.

Major sales were expected off the back of losing in the playoff final, but the club are in a strong position to make sure those exits are on their terms.

Everton have recently reignited their interest in signing Willy Gnonto from Leeds this summer, a year on from their attempts in summer 2023.

Notoriously, Everton’s approaches sparked controversy at Leeds as the Italian agitated for a move, before Daniel Farke helped calm the situation before reintegrating the youngster to superb effect in 2024.

They have recently entered talks with the player’s camp, per Fabrizio Romano, with Gnonto claimed to be keen on heading to Merseyside.
